Local MP Nadhim Zahawi met up with the legendary, double Olympic gold medal winning, Nick Skelton CBE, at his stables in Alcester.

They discussed a number of issues facing stable owners in the UK, in particular delays at border points for horses entering the country.

Speaking afterwards, Nadhim said:

“It was a real pleasure to meet with Nick and I have raised his concerns with my Government colleagues. We need to resolve this so that we can safeguard horse welfare and protect local stables such as Nick’s.”
