Nadhim Zahawi meets local supporter of The Ups of Downs campaign.

Based in Leamington Spa, The Ups of Downs has been celebrating Down syndrome in Warwickshire and surrounding counties for the last 13 years and works with more than 60 families. 

Nadhim said:

“It was great to catch up and discuss The Ups of Downs campaign during my constituency surgery.

“I believe deeply that the voices of those with Down Syndrome, their families and their carers should be heard. I am proud of the work the Government is doing through the Down Syndrome Act, which requires the Secretary of State to publish guidance for public bodies to ensure they are clear on how they should meet the needs of people with Down Syndrome.”
