Nadhim Zahawi met with Glen Burley, CEO of South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, and Chair Russell Hardy to discuss cancer diagnostic times.

Following the meeting, Nadhim said:

Cancer Faster Diagnostic Standard

The CFD standard measures the time from referral by a GP (with suspected cancer) to a definitive cancer (or non-cancer) diagnosis, replacing the 2 week wait stanrdard.

National Target

Diagnosis within 28 days of referral (at least 75% of patients)

Stratford-on-Avon

Referrals for suspected cancer up 9%, 24% higher than pre-Covid

CFD standard met for each of the last five months
