The past few weeks we have spent all day visiting and canvassing the unique and beautiful villages and towns of Stratford-on-Avon. In Long Marston we popped into a non-for-profit village store and post office and spoke to the village volunteers who are keeping the service open. Their hard work is laudable, and their store is a paragon for other villages. In Aston Cantlow we spoke to residents in the historic Kings Heads. One couple told us about the problems they are having getting their children to school with limited bus offerings. I have already spoken to the district council about this issue, and we are considering a plan to make daily life easier for these dedicated but struggling parents. This week I have also spoken to small business owners at the Welcombe Hotel. Listening to them, to find out what they need from me to succeed. The Government seems determined to only lend to people who don't need the money, and I don't think that's right. Under a Conservative Government, small businesses will receive the loans and tax breaks they need to grow their company and make our economy stronger. I have received an overwhelming amount of support from people who are tired of a Labour Government. They believe it is time for a change, and I thank them for putting their trust in me to deliver it.
