In June I nominated Hussain's Indian Cuisine in Stratford-on-Avon to take part in the prestigious Tiffin Cup competition to find the best South Asian restaurant in the country.
Following the success of the Tiffin Cup 2014, MPs have, for the 10th year running, been asked to nominate a restaurant in their constituency as the best South Asian restaurant in the UK. Last year 94 restaurants were nominated from around the country.
The Tiffin Cup is awarded every year by the Tiffin Club of MPs with the aim of not only applauding the quality of South Asian food in Britain, but also to raise much needed money for charity. This year the competition is in aid of the charity 'World Vision'
I have now been informed that my nomination for Hussain's Indian Cuisine has been accepted and will take part in this year's Tiffin Cup. It is a prestigious competition and I look forward to welcoming Hussain's Indian Cuisine to the House of Commons should they win their regional heat. The Grand Final, should Hussain's Indian Cuisine, succeed in the regional heat, will then be held in the House of Commons on Tuesday 27th October 2015.
I am sure everyone in Stratford-on-Avon will be rooting for Hussain's Indian Cuisine to become Tiffin Cup 2015 champions!
